Witness Statements
Claire Johnson states:
My name is Claire Johnson. I am a 39 year old female. I am currently employed by Dirocco Paper Company in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. I have been Joe Wilson's secretary for 2 years. Joe and I have always had a great professional relationship. August 13th, 2015, started off as any other work day, however, I was 15 minutes late to work. Joe and I discussed it later that morning, and then went about our day. Joe went on his lunch break at 12:00 PM as always, and he returned from his break at 1:25 PM. Joe was wearing a different set of clothes and appeared to be very sweaty. I was not surprised at this, considering the August heat, and since Joe generally walks from place to place when he goes out on his lunch break. Once Joe was back, he asked to not be bothered until his 4:00 PM business meeting. I respectfully complied and did not intrude. When Joe had not yet left his office for the meeting and the time was already at 4:00 PM, I decided to go remind Joe of his meeting. When I opened the door, I immediately saw that Joe was slumped over his desk in a sloppy form. I walked to him to gently shake him awake, and this turned out to be unsuccessful. I checked for the pulse in his neck, and found none, so I yelled for help and for someone to call 911. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Joe, and hope someone can shed some light on the cause of his death.
Mary Davis states:
My name is Mary Davis. I am a 48 year old female. I am currently employed by Dirocco Paper company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Joe and I hold the same position as Account Executive. Joe and I have never seen eye to eye, but have always managed to be professionally cordial to one another. I arrived at work early as always, around 7:40 AM. I planned to spend most of the day in my office handling clients and filling out paper work. I did however overhear an exchange between Joe and his secretary, Claire, regarding her consistent tardies as I was leaving my office to speak with my boss around the 9:00 AM hour. Claire sounded upset, and Joe seemed to be in a bad mood. I did not go on a lunch break that day, but I did see Joe leaving for his break from my window. I had to leave work early on that day, August 13th, for a doctor's appointment. I left Dirocco Paper Company at 3:00 PM. I only saw Joe once that day, which was during his conversation with Claire.
